Year 2 SAT celebration

We iced our own cakes, it was great fun!

They were delicious.

We decided to do some exercise so we had a game of duck duck goose!

Year 2 SAT's

Year have been working extremely hard over the past two weeks on their SAT's. On Friday we will be celebrating our successes with a picnic! Miss Hunter, Miss Wilkins and Mr Ackner are very proud of all the children, they have been very focussed and resilient squirrels.

Maths week

Year 2's challenge for maths week is to order the teachers by height.

We made some predictions first..... We thought Mr wilson and Miss Kripa were very tall so they would definitely be at the tallest end of the line. We decided Miss Wilkins and Mr Ackner would be near the shorter end.

KS1 Pirate Walk!

We met Pirate Pete and Captian Harry. They taught us about pirates that lived in Bristol. We did a lot of walking, a lot of listening and asked some brilliant curious cat questions and eventually we found the treasure!

Year 2 loved learning about Ella Fitzgerald and Ignatious sancho during Black History week. We drew some portraits and created fact files about them. Some Year 2 children found them so inspiraing they did lots of research at home and shared it with the class!
